Shirley McGill, Master of the Society of Royal Cumberland Youths, has organised a ringing band of Cumberland members who regularly ring in Surrey. They will attempt to ring a full peal (5040 changes taking nearly 3 hours) starting at 2.30 pm on Monday 4th June at Leigh Church. The SRCY, as they are known in London, have their headquarters at St Martin in the Fields in Trafalgar Square but have members from all over the world. They have been in existence since 1747 and continually strive towards top quality ringing.
