The Leigh Water Colour Group was formed in 2005 by Maureen Judd, and the membership has been growing every term. It comprises beginners as well as those with more experience, and nobody ever feels out of place.
The Group meets in Leigh Village Hall every Monday afternoon from 2.00 to 4.00 pm. It is a happy group, and while lots of painting is done, there is always time for tea and a chat at half time. Each person contributes to the cost of the hire of the hall and also to tea and biscuits. It is either £1 or £2 a session.
The members show some of their art at the Leigh Summer Show, and from time
to time they make a trip out to paint. Some samples of their pictures
are shown below.
